My Personal Network Tester

Last few weeks i went to Low Yat and manage to buy network cable tester ... When i found the places which sell network cable tester, i get stuned when i see the price.. RM 75... better go robe bank la... two connectors and 8 L.E.D only so expensive...

So I decided to make one myself... Here how it looks like...



Looks lousy right? But i designed it to have one more function then the one which sold in market. Because i install it with 16 L.E.Ds.. So that we can know which line in the cable is spoiled if the cable do having line failure even for Peer-to-peer network cable. The price to do this? Actually below RM 10... The two connectors is cabut out from spoiled network card which ppl throw away to tong sampah together with the CPU.. lol..

As you all can see... this is the network CAT5E cable which connected with RJ-45 connectors. My tester shows that it work perfectly...

While this one.... 2 of the LED of each colour failed on... this means 2 tiny cables in the CAT5E cable or The RJ-45 connector(s) having problem.
